My Experience (2019 update)
We reviewed this product a few years ago, but it has such great performance that I simply must say something more about it. My wife was complaining constantly about the spray tan she gets at different salons. I love her, but I really couldn’t listen to that crap any more. So, to try to make her happy I bought her this airbrush tanning kit with a quiet compressor. It crossed my mind that the features might lie and the compressor is noisy, but I’d rather listen to it than to her whining.
It was definitely worth the risk! To my surprise, she was pleased and a happy wife means a happy life. She tried it right away and got the most amazing even tan! Even I was shocked! After the initial shock passed, I noticed some air leaks on the hose connections but fixed it with a little enclosed tape. This is something that appears frequently on new airbrush compressors, so no need to worry.
The metal spray gun is well built and has a wide spray pattern which lets you finish the tanning in 5-10 minutes. The gun is a bit heavy but luckily the tanning session is done quickly. After all you can’t expect that a metal gun is light. Beside the refill cup, there are no plastic parts on this Paasche unit.
Oh, and the noise, well I think my electric razor makes more noise than this compressor. I help my wife with the cleaning after every usage and always test the compressor before tanning. Frankly, after a few years it is still doing its magic.
Paasche was not a big name in the tanning industry, but we gave it a chance and it didn’t fail us. Paasche Quick Application Airbrush Tanning Kit gives professional results and is a system that is easy to use. So, I recommend that you make your wife happy as I did mine.
