My Experience (update: 09. 2019)
Yeah, I know I reviewed this airbrush compressor seven months ago. I didn’t want to be boring I just wanted to share my impressions after doing a complete test of its operations in order to see if what they say about it is true.
At a first glance, the compressor looks so powerful and well built. It gives the impression that it will last forever and will never break down. In many cases the first impression is wrong, but not in this one. Upon assembling the unit, I immediately did a leak test and the compressor thrived and is leak free right out of the box! Working with it was as easy as writing with my favorite pen, as it provides smooth operation and a more stable airflow.
I liked the regulator setting that kicks off when out of air and refills it quickly so that there’s no need to make a break if you’re feeling inspired.
The motor has a more modern configuration and to be honest it’s gets a little warm after usage. However, I can’t possibly expect for a motor to work for a long time and stay completely cool.

The most praised feature of this airbrush compressor is its quiet operation. The unit is said to run at 55 db. which is equivalent to a refrigerator. Well, I think there is something wrong with my fridge as this compressor is significantly quieter than it. I can easily work at night and not disturb neighbors who are sleeping. And that’s a winner for me!
In addition, the compressor has a water trap and adjustable pressure, but have in mind that you have to pull up the adjustment knob to change the pressure setting.
After a few months of usage, the PointZero 1/5 HP airbrush compressor has only proven its worth. It is still quieter than my fridge, meaning I haven’t bought a new one yet. Honestly, for a fairly low price I got a reliable compressor that does the work flawlessly. Now, if I were so lucky to find that kind of fridge…
