A professional studio quality piece of equipment, there’s a lot to like when it comes to this particular air compressor.

My experience with Iwata-Medea Studio Series Power Jet Pro Double Piston compressor (2019 update)
This air compressor is what I would call “an elite compressor”. It definitely deserves to be talked about, so I will share my first-hand experience after a few years of usage. I have to say, that when my old compressor died (of old age) and I bought this Iwata-Medea product, the feeling was like going from driving a Yugo to driving a red Ferrari! And who doesn’t like a Ferrari?!
First thing I will mention is that everything you get is ready for usage right out of the box. It’s normal for a compressor to get hot after a few hours of usage, but believe it or not, this one just gets warm. This says a lot about its construction and high quality.
When I hold the trigger down at 45 PSI the tank shuts off and refills, which is something I didn’t experience with my previous compressor.
The thing that I personally liked about this double piston product are the two airbrush ports with independent pressure, air filters and air pressure adjustments. So, me and my colleague work at the same time and each sets its own conditions. Perfection.
Being an elite airbrush compressor, it would be completely stupid if it were noisy. So, it runs as quietly as a microwave oven, maybe even more quiet. It just purrs silently delivering a nice stream of air.
Definitely a family and neighbor’s friendly product.
BOOKMARK THIS REVIEW FOR LATER
Like a Ferrari, this airbrush compressor is expensive. But is definitely the best investment that will pay off without a doubt! Iwata-Medea made a compressor that will last and to confirm this I will just say that I have been using it for five years and it still works the same as the first day I got it. When you buy it, I guarantee you will fall in love immediately. So, the only thing to worry about is that your partner doesn’t get jealous.
User Reviews
Customer views are definitely overwhelmingly positive towards this particular air compressor. One user on Amazon.com said that they have been using air compressors and airbrushes since 1984, and they’ve never found a compressor that offers this kind of quality, consistency, and silent operation – and that they are pretty much in love with this particular unit!
Conclusion
At the end of the day, you aren’t going to find too terribly many other small form factor compressors that allow you to unleash your creativity quite the way that the Iwata-Medea Studio Series Power Jet Pro Double Piston air compressor can.
